The Holy Teacher

Trusting in God is where the miraculous begins. You may carry certain traumas, habits, or struggles accepting them as part of your identity. But trusting God means saying, "Jesus, I no longer want this. I know it’s hindering me from living fully for You. I believe You are a miracle worker, and I trust You to remove this from my life." In that moment, we hand our burdens to God, no longer facing the battle on our own.

But does this mean we can just sit back and do nothing? Not exactly. God doesn’t simply take the problem away; He partners with us in the process. The work still happens, but now it's through us, empowered by His Spirit, not by our own strength.

Think of struggling with a challenging math problem. Without the teacher's guidance, the problem remains a mystery. But when the teacher explains the process, the solution becomes clear. You couldn’t have solved it alone, but with the teacher’s help, the breakthrough came.

The Holy Spirit is that teacher. When we come to Him, acknowledging that we can’t do it on our own, He provides the clarity and support we need. No more endlessly erasing mistakes, getting stuck, and repeating the process. We simply need to trust and keep asking, knowing that God holds the answers and will guide us through the process, step by step.

And one day, the grip of whatever thought or habit once controlled you is gone, as if God has fully healed the poison ivy in your mind. Whether it's anger, unforgiveness, a mental struggle, or a tic, once you realize the power and authority God has over your life, and the freedom He offers, you can be set free from what once seemed impossible.
