God is Love
God will always seem unjust or even evil to those who harbor evil in their hearts. For those who choose rebellion, who resist His ways, their view of God will be shaped by their own discontent and defiance. They will interpret His actions through the lens of their own bitterness and self-interest, often seeing only punishment or restriction, when in reality, God’s ways are rooted in love and justice. But for those who love Him, God’s nature is one of infinite grace, kindness, and understanding. He is gentle with those who are gentle, and His love draws near to those who seek Him with open hearts.
When we rebel against the system God has put in place, we tend to reject Him in order to justify our own desires or plans. It’s easy to criticize what we don’t understand, to create narratives that fit our own worldview rather than seeing things from His perspective. But as His representatives on this earth, it is our responsibility to reflect His love, even to those who hold trauma, deceit, hatred, or bitterness in their hearts. We are called to be a light in the darkness, to love those who oppose us and to show grace even when it’s difficult.
Our mission is to shine so brightly with God’s love that those who are deceived by the darkness around them are awakened to the truth. The truth is simple, yet profound: God is Love. When we embody this love, when we are patient, kind, and unwavering in our compassion, others will see His character reflected in us, and they will come to know the God who is goodness itself. Through our actions, through our words, and through the purity of our hearts, we can help others step out of their rebellion and into the freedom that comes from surrendering to the One who loves them most.
